Available Positions:

Summary: The General Manager/Estimator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the auto body shop and for providing accurate repair estimates to customers. The individual will ensure the highest quality of service while maintaining profitability.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. General Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the body shop, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate with other managers and team leaders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
  2. Estimations:
    • Inspect damaged vehicles and provide accurate repair estimates.
    • Use estimation software and tools to ensure standardized and accurate quotes.
    • Work closely with insurance companies to negotiate repair costs and ensure that repairs adhere to insurance specifications.
  3. Customer Service:
    • Engage with customers to understand their concerns and ensure their satisfaction.
    • Handle customer complaints and feedback, implementing necessary changes to improve service quality.
    • Educate customers on repair processes, timelines, and costs.
  4. Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians, painters, and other staff.
    • Coordinate training and professional development opportunities for staff.
    • Conduct performance reviews, and address any personnel issues in a timely manner.
  5. Financial Management:
    • Monitor the financial performance of the shop, ensuring profitability.
    • Develop budgets and financial forecasts.
    • Work closely with the finance department to ensure proper invoicing and payments.
  6. Supplier Relations:
    • Maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and vendors.
    • Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure the best quality and cost-efficiency.
  7. Safety and Compliance:
    • Ensure that all operations adhere to industry safety standards and regulations.
    • Implement and oversee safety training programs for all staff.
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in an auto body shop or related field.
  • Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
  • Strong understanding of auto body repair processes and techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Basic financial and business acumen.
  • Education:
      • High School Diploma required.
      • Degree in Business Management, Automotive Technology, or a related field is a plus.
      • Certifications in auto body repair or estimation is preferred.
